Rancabali Pass, southwest of Bandung, West Java.
The winding road that cuts through the hilly plains of tea plantation as high as the clouds. The lingering mist on surrouding forest-covered mountaintops. The whisper of fresh mountain breeze, the singing of wild birds, and the clear blue sky.
Climbing one among the highest mountainpasses in Java paints a perfect picture of our twisted relationship with climbs. Yes, pushing through miles of climb is straining for the lungs and the legs—it’s a test of physical and mental endurance. Yet it comes with the reward of its own.
For some, it’s a sense of accomplishment, a realization of what we can achieve, and how we grow stronger over time. For others, like us, it’s a sense of liberation from the shackles of bustling city life, as we immerse ourselves upon the beauty of the mountains, and enjoy the most awe-inspiring road to ourselves.
It was also about sharing our mutual passion of cycling along the road. It was also about the chit-chats over lite bites and hot drinks, that suited the high-altitude cold air like a pair of good old friends. It was also about the thrill of leaning into corners at high speed, as we descended the mountainpass on our way back home.
It was for such reward, we woke up early in the morning, got on the bike, and hit the road, while others were still snuggling on the comfort of their bed. It was for such reward, we headed to the mountainpass, and embraced every second of the pain.
After all, climbing is our rite of passage. It’s an inseparable part of our cycling life.

Live the ride means living in your perspective of enjoyment, ride in your own way, with your own pace and timing. Live quitely to stay focus on what's in front of us, not behind.
When we cycle we are not trying to be happy, we are happy. Were letting go of our burdens, relax and live in the breath. Be in touch with life
The awareness that we are not in control of our surroundings, but ourselves. To appreciate the charm and freedom that are available now.
Live the ride means "the best time to live and love is now."
To remind ourselves to always be greatful to what we have and what nature provides.

Kind hearts are able to make the flowers bloom and provide the birds a place to nest their eggs.
We believe cycling is about being perceptive to our surroundings. To hear the chirping birds and the morning kiss by the sun as nature cheers us on as we pedal.
Kilomantra collaboration with Garis Edelweiss (drawing artist) is about self awareness to stay healthy and kind hearted.
To remind ourselves to always be greatful to what we have and what nature provides.
Stay optimistic and be happy. In this trying times, mother earth tries to tell us that the greatest gifts we have is each other.
Every ride has its own angles and stories. With this one, it's all about getting that connection with the world
Turning up your numb big city senses to become more sensitive towards your surroundings.
]]>The sounds of crickets, birds, and water all the way through.
The breeze and smell of the morning dew.
It was a peaceful climb with the serene and stillness of the surroundings that were a relief to our big city senses.
Then the caffeine. Smell of Kopi Mlaku really enhances the frame of mind whilst the blue sky roofs us, with the river flowing to enjoy and see.
Jogja is always welcoming, with its warm and humbleness. It has its own pace, not slow but rather an enjoyable process. As taught by mother nature...good things take time.

The ride was so much appreciated, which made us feel that we will live much longer everytime we pedal
Live by the mantra.
We don’t bike just to get to somewhere, we are in the constant exploration. In search for that 'happier' place is to keep moving and wandering.

Well one thing for sure, we don’t bike just to get somewhere. It's the journey that we seek, the pleasure in the process of getting somewhere. The feeling of freedom, knowing that we can get far with our physic as the machine.
That happy feeling, when you get to the road and have a full spin. Morning fresh air in car-less streets. The breeze that goes through your head as you're speeding up and the warmth of sunrise in between.
When we are in the peloton and everything is in rhythmic motion; these are times when we feel like our bike is off the ground. And the belief that the universe will work its magic to get us there faster.
The destination might not be a place, it might be the liberating feeling that we seek to get out of everyday routine. The feeling that we'll live much longer every time we pedal.
This world is too big for us to just sit and stay still, and too beautiful not to see and preserve. We might not arrive at that happy place, because our destination is the journey itself.
We don’t bike just to get to somewhere, we are in the constant exploration. In search for that 'happier' place is to keep moving and wandering. Keep spinning; to embrace the pain. Gain the strength to ride faster and further.
The mantra is just to get on the bike and head to the distance.

Since the pandemic, we've seen more and more people start cycling, either they want to stay fit, or just casual cyclists whose goal is healthier lifestyles. It’s becoming beyond just trendy sport, it’s becoming the new way of life.
Kilomantra hopes to facilitate this self awareness, to live less stressful life, enjoying the road with no cars and motorcycles, breathing fresh air and feel wind goes through your hair.
For us, who live in the big city, cycling is so liberating to get out from everyday rat race. Hence, we believe the mantra of a happy life is just to get on your bike and head to the miles. And we are here, to provide you with brands to get through that physical and philosophical journey.
